National Vocational Qualifcation courses (also known as NVQ courses), are an excellent way to be qualified for a job. There are a variety of subjects to choose from ranging from food and catering to sales and marketing. Instead of sitting in a classroom all day long and taking down notes, NVQ courses allow you to learn practically with tasks and activities to engage in. Certain careers may require workers to take an NVQ course as a form of training, however, they will still be paid their usual wage for taking part. Ultimately, being qualified through these courses means that you are competent and capable, which looks excellent on your CV and can impress an employer into hiring you. There are five different qualification levels which vary from being activity to research skill based. Levels have their own academic equivalence and are compared to GCSES and A levels.
